In 2020 the world experienced a pandemic that has changed the way we live; we work and how businesses see their team members. The impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) was felt by all businesses not only here in Australia but around the world. Leaders were navigating a broad range of interrelated issues that span from keeping their employees and customer safety, shoring-up cash and liquidity, reorienting operations, and navigating complicated government support programs.
As the return to work for many became imminent businesses needed to start managing employee numbers so that social-distancing (we prefer Physical- distancing as we are still social but in other ways) requirements were met and to ensure employee and workplace health and wellbeing. This included.

As a business owner not only have you had the weight of the COVID-19 on your shoulders and were already working on average 63% more than other workers you now had a whole new challenge. The saying ‘nobody ever became a business owner so they could avoid working hard’ was certainly true. Running your own business stretches anybody’s work-life balance to the absolute limit and thanks to COVID-19 it also tested resilience and adaptability.
From my experience of the workplace and as a business owner myself, I have put together 8 tips to build that mythic, dreamed about, idealized workplace from the ground up. Essentially, however, in my opinion, as a business owner (you will have heard me say this on more than one occasion) the best way to get a dream workplace is –
